How to Fix Outlook not Starting

If your Outlook will not start up and sits with a status bar that doesn't go away after 20-30 seconds or so, you will need to rebuild your profile in Outlook. You will not lose any data or settings.

Go to Control Panel and select Mail
In the pop-up window, select Show Profiles...
Click Remove to remove the highlighted profile in the list
Click Add... to add a new profile named whatever you like
Click Next to authenticate and setup your Outlook profile
Click Finish and then start Outlook
It will take a bit longer the first time to establish your profile
