2. MFA for VPN on a new phone

Important Notes before starting the process!

VPN needs a separate MFA(authenticator) and your Microsoft work account needs a separate MFAin Microsoft Authenticator application
- you need to register these two different MFA's on the new phone

MFA for VPN is a separate appliance, so you need to reach out to ITto disable the old MFA on your old phone
- Username for your VPN is FirstName.LastName only, not your full email address
- But the password is same as your work account password.

MHC_Data WIFI needs an application named "Aruba Onboard" to connect. It doesn't take username and password to get connect to it.

Note: This article only focuses on MFA for VPN

Setting up MFA for VPN:

Reach out to IT to disable your old MFA for VPN on your old phone first!
We assume that you read the first article, so that you have Microsoft authenticator app installed on your new phone and successfully added MFA for M365 work account
After you completed the first 2 steps, open the link on the browser from your computer: https://moorevpn.mooreengineeringinc.com
Enter username and password for VPN, then log in:
- Username for your VPN is FirstName.LastName only, not your full email address
- But the password is same as your work account password.
You will see a QR code to scan it from Microsoft Authenticator app on your new phone
Open the authenticator app and hit the "+" plus sign on the top right corner
Select "Other" (the last option)
Scan the QR code on the computer screen
It will take to the list of MFA's on the app and the last one is for VPN which you just added
On the authenticator application the name of the last MFA for VPN is be named as your FirstName.LastName
Open it and enter the 6 digit code from the MFA to the web page on the computer that you scanned the QR code from
Click on "OK" and hit "Log out" on the next page
Change the name of the MFA to "Moore VPN" by opening the MFA and hitting the gear icon on the top right corner
While connecting to the VPN also, enter your firstName.lastName as a username and use the same password of your work account on Connect Tunnel app on your laptop:
